The Scene for April 24, 2015

Sorry we’ve been remiss in maintaining the blog; we’ve been exceptionally busy putting plays on stage, dealing with family matters, and battling really persistent flu.

But we’re back now.
As you’ve undoubtedly heard, the Miami-Dade County Commission has finally committed to the current plan to revive the Coconut Grove Playhouse.  You can read about it on Florida Theater On Stage, or in The Miami Herald.

The Fringe Theater of Key West opens Conch Republic (The Musical) at the San Carlos Institute, this weekend only.

The House Theatre of Chicago’s production of The Magnificents plays at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts through Sunday, May 3.
The Slow Burn Theatre production of Rent winds up its run at the West Boca Performing Arts Center on Sunday, but it moves to the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center for a brief run April 30 – May 3.
Evening Star Productions presents The Addams Family at the Sol Theatre, through May 3.
