Sightings: Tanya Bravo

I first met Tanya Bravo when she starred in COMMUNICATING DOORS at Actors' Playhouse. Just out of college, this diminutive figure of a girl had to carry the show. And carry it she did! It was a masterful performance.

She went on to form a critically praised theater with Elda Brouwer, the tiny Juggerknot Theater Company. The theater surprised everyone by receiving Carbonell nominations in its first season. She's now heavily involved in the latin music scene, organizing music festivals and promoting bands.

She was at Carnaval on the Mile, stage managing for Manicato. She's pictured watching the band from out front, and I think she likes what she sees.

Theater's loss is music's gain. Rock on, Tanya.
