The Scene for October 23, 2015

If anyone is dressing up as Marty McFly or Doc Brown this Halloween, the Theatre League has been asked to find some actors to help set the tone for the Bakehouse Art Complex fundraiser on November 14; they’ve doing a Back to the Future-themed evening.  So if you’re interested in giving your costume one more spin, contact Andie Arthur at the South Florida Theatre League.
Conundrum Stages presents an evening of music and theatre at the MUSE Center for the Arts this Saturday; their revues always make for a nice evening.

Slow Burn Theatre makes its much-anticipated debut at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with their production of Big Fish in the Amaturo Theater.  You can read about the move on Florida Theater On Stage.
 
There was a slightly different move at Theatre at Arts Garage, when Keith Garrson and Genie Croft moved in to replace Louis Tyrrell; their first production is Sex With Strangers, and previews start on Sunday.
 
Also in previews, Maltz Jupiter Theater opens The Mousetrap on Sunday.

The Pigs Do Fly Productions production of Flying High – a collection of seven brand new short plays –  concludes its run at Empire Stage this Sunday, October 25, 2015.
 
Evening Star Productions will be winding up its run of 35mm: A Musical Exhihition at the Sol Children’s Theater on October 25.

Delray Beach Playhouse, the oldest community theater in South Florida, presents Neil Simon’s Come Blow Your Horn, through October 25th.  They’re also staging We Remember Him Well! The Life and Songs of Alan Jay Lerner through October 28.
 
The  Lake Worth Playhouse, the second oldest community theatre in South Florida, presents Meet Me In St. Louis, through October 25, and they are opening Circle Mirror Transformation in their black box studio, through November 1.
 
Just in time for Halloween, Entr’ActeTheatrix opens its production of Young Frankenstein at the Crest Theater, through November 1.
 
Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre presents Jesus Christ Superstar through November 7, 2015.

Miami Theatre Center presents Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland through November 20, 2015.  This is the only weekend for performances, al the rest of the showing are weekday mornings.
 
Actors’ Playhouse presents Charlotte’s Web at The Miracle Theater, through October 31, 2015.
 
Showtime Performing Arts Theatre presents The Wizard of Oz through October 24, 2015.
