The Scene for March 6, 2009

This week's Scene is a little late; the flu bug caught up with me. But the show must go on, and it's going on all over South Florida this week.

Michael Hall has stepped down as Artistic Director of the Caldwell, and his replacement, Clive Cholerton, had his production of Dangerous reviewed in VARIETY. South Florida Theatre has hit national prominence from time to time, going back the halcyon days of the Coconut Grove Playhouse, but it's always worth noting the accomplishment when it happens.

Just a reminder:
Clicking on a highlighted show title leads you to the review summaries for that show.

The long-awaited production of Les Misérables opens at Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theater. Artistic Director David Arisco has been mulling this one over for years

This is the regional premiere of one of the most popular musicals ever written, performed at South Florida's pre-eminent producers of musicals.
