The Scene for November 2, 2012

If you had any illusions that the theatre season hasn't gotten started yet, this weekend should put them to rest; there are a whole lotta openings going on.  And it's all good stuff; from new works like A Man Puts On A Play to classics like Amadeus, from Godspell to Avenue Q.  Those last two close Sunday, so you better get out to see them soon!

This weekend marks the return of The Women's Theatre Project, but don't look for them in the FATS village; they're up Boca Raton now.

Here's what's happening this week on The Scene:

Naked Stage presents the world premiere of A Man Puts On A Play, written, produced, and directed by Antonio Amadeo.  We hear that he tried to fire himself during the process, but that he threatened to walk if he did. Anywho, it plays at Barry University's Pelican Theatre through November 18.
