Area Stage: Tu Ternura Molotov (1 review)

Tu Ternura MolotovArea Stage takes Spanish-language to a new level at their new home in the Riviera Theater. Their current production, Tu Ternura Molotov (Your Molotov Kisses), opened May 30, 2009, and is performed in Spanish with English subtitles.
The life of an urban couple explodes in riotous ways when they receive a mysterious package from the FBI.
John Rodaz directs a cast that includes Carlos Orizondo and Ivette ViƱas.

Marta Barber reviewed for the Miami Herald:
John Rodaz, well-known in South Florida's theater circles, directs the play with the same deft hand he's shown in the past. The elegant setting, also by Rodaz, and the cast perfectly capture the play's demands.
Tu ternura Molotov is a cut above many of the Spanish-language comedies often staged in South Florida. It is only the second production that Rodaz and his wife Maria Banda-Rodaz, production and executive director of Area Stage, have presented at the Riviera Theater, their new home. It is a labor of love for the couple, who in their previous black-box theater on Lincoln Road, often staged unforgettable productions mostly in English.
Tu Ternura Molotov plays at Area Stage through June 21, 2009.
