It’s sum-sum-summertime in South Florida. And that means that it’s time for the Theatre League’s Summer Theatre Fest Reading Series!
Every Monday from June until August, member companies will be hosting readings of plays by South Florida Playwrights. This coming Monday, Maltz Jupiter Theatre presents a reading of Captiva, by Christopher Demos-Brown.
But you don’t have to wait until Monday; we have a trio of plays opening this weekend, including the latest short play festival from City Theatre, and a play that did well off-Broadway last year. And there’s dozens of other plays to see all over South Florida.
Here's what’s playing on the scene this weekend:
Annie plays at the Sol Children’s Theater through June 29, 2014
Slow Burn Theatre Company opens High Fidelity this weekend, through June 29.
Pride South Florida presents Little House On The Ferry at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts this weekend only.
